I found an old friend on myspace. I added him as a friend but he denied. I sent him a message and said hey its me blah blah blah...so add me. He sent me a message saying just this "no". I was shocked. He was my best friend in elementary school. So I just sent him another message saying "can I ask why you won't add me?" I am waiting for him to answer. Do you have any ideas on why he would say this? He knows who I am and I never did anything to hurt him. What should I do? Thanks =)

Maybe he's living a life now that people from his past would never understand. Or he's tried telling people from his past about a new lifestyle and no one accepted or understood, so now he figures it might be safer to forget people from his past and focus on the new friends he's making who he knows accepts his current lifestyle. Just a guess.
Would love to hear what he replies to your last message. Hope he fills in the blanks for ya.

You say that he is an old friend. Try to think back to why you two stopped being friends. I would not understand why he would not want to be your friend unless there is something that happened between the two of you that you are not thinking of.
